Special theme
This years special theme will be "We Own the Night". Anything that is related to night operations will count. Most entries are usually aircraft so this theme is good for them however I'm sure the armor, figures and navy modelers will be able to come up with something. Our theme song will be "Paint it Black" by the Stones! I'm pretty flexible about these things so if you can convince me it is a night related model I'll accept it without too much fuss. Some items were built solely to operate at night like the F-117 and other things were adapted for night work like a Hurricane for example. All are good.
Visit the 2010 Shearwater special theme forum here for discussion, progress pics of your entries and any questions you might have about the category.

2010 Hurricane/Spitfire Challenge
Since I won Iain Matheson's 2009 1/32nd Bf-109 Challenge, it is my duty to throw down the gauntlet for next year's event. Here are the guidelines:
ANY 1/48th scale Hawker Hurricane or Supermarine Spitfire is eligible.
No open covers except cockpit canopies.
Any detailing is allowed, Photo-Etch, Resin, etc.
As long as CAMS agrees, we will have the same voting format as 2009, that is: ballots will be handed to all passers-by, who will vote for their favourite. Just bring your finished model to CAMS 2010 and we will have a table ready.
I will donate a prize for the winner. Something really exotic. Anyone willing to join in should reply to the challenge topic here in the forums and I will keep a record. There are lots of kits in every price range, so if you don't have one, get one and join in! Counting myself, there are six already, so get your ball rollin' !!!!!!!
